100% Feel happier with their relationship with their child/ren
"My relationship with my child is better. 3D helped me heal but also supported me in a non-judgemental way... Cannot underestimate the power of a friendly chat and a hug... This service is an invaluable lifeline for new parents"

The impact of our work is evidenced by the awards we have received over the years which include:

The Children Young People Now Award March 2020

Children Young People Now is the publication for leaders and senior practitioners across children’s and young people’s services and the awards are given for excellence in service delivery

In 2021 we commissioned Community Enterprise to undertake an external evaluation of our work Below is an excerpt of the key findings:

Involvement in 3D services was felt to improve confidence, self-esteem and resilience amoungst local parents. This was felt to be linked to  a range of elements, including, the creation of a safe, non-judgemental space where learning, socialisation and peer support could take place

Our Impact & Evidence
At 3D Families, we believe every family deserves the opportunity to thrive. We work
alongside children and families from pre-birth to 12 years, providing nurturing
relationships, practical support and opportunities to build confidence, strengthen family
relationships and improve wellbeing.

We are committed to understanding the difference our support makes. Throughout the year
we collect feedback from families alongside programme participation data to measure
outcomes, improve our services and ensure we continue to respond to the needs of our
community.

This page shares the difference families tell us our support has made, alongside the scale of
our work across each of our programme areas.

Our Reach (2025–26)
Every number represents a child, parent or family who has journeyed with 3D Families over
the past year. From attending a baby group or parenting programme to receiving one-to-
one support or accessing essential items through Bairn Necessities, every family has their
own story. Together, these figures demonstrate the scale and reach of our support across
Drumchapel, Knightswood and Yoker.

Family Impact Outcomes
Listening to families is central to everything we do. Parents and carers complete our Family
Impact Questionnaire throughout the year, allowing us to understand the difference our
programmes are making to family relationships, parenting confidence, wellbeing and
childrens development.

School Family Support

alongside parents, schools and partner agencies, we help families overcome challenges,
strengthen relationships and improve outcomes for children both at home and in school.

Community Family Events
Our community events bring families together, celebrate local communities and create
welcoming opportunities for families to connect, have fun and access support. These events
often provide a first step into wider 3D Families services.

Bairn Necessities
No child should go without the essentials they need to thrive. Bairn Necessities provides
free clothing, equipment and essential items for babies and young children, helping to
reduce the impact of poverty while ensuring families can access support with dignity.

Volunteers
Our volunteers are at the heart of 3D Families. They bring skills, experience and compassion
that enrich our services and strengthen our community.

Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to listening to families, learning from what
works and developing services that meet the changing needs of our community. Every piece
of feedback, every session delivered and every family supported helps shape the future of
3D Families as we continue journeying alongside children and families to build strong
foundations for families to thrive.
